Studies aiming to evaluate the hydric reserves, establish protection perimeters for groundwater pumping, water quality assessments, subterranean water flow, speed and hydrological potential.

These are performed using a set of geological and geophysical methods which identify, for example, the geological formations associated with aquifers or the depth of groundwater.
